Daniel Bausch
Daniel Bausch graduated from Accademia Teatro Dimitri in 1995, and also completed training in the Feldenkrais method. He has worked as an actor in several important theaters throughout Europe, including touring for five years with the Ton und Kirschen Wandertheater, an international company based in physical theatre, puppetry, and classic clowning. In Berlin he worked with the Berliner Ensemble, one of Europe’s most iconic theaters established in 1949, and the Deutsche Oper with distinguished director Achim Freyer who was a protege of Bertolt Brecht. He has also acted at the renowned Teatro Stabile in Brescia, Italy. Daniel has made numerous stagings of musical plays in collaboration with the University School of Music in Lugano, Switzerland. He was Head of BA programs from 2009- 2014. Daniel is now an important part of the Dimitri school and theatre, having led the programming of Teatro Dimitri, and since 2016 responsible for Advanced Studies at Accademia Dimitri. Daniel is a member of the Executive Council of the International Theatre Institute (ITI) and president of Swiss ITI.
